It doesn't rain, it pours

This week has been pretty upsetting. We received calls for help from different parts of the island, for rescue, fostering or adoption. All as urgent, all as desperate. We are posting them as extracted from their emails........

Desperation - little 'Little'

'

Pitiful whines were heard and that was how Little was found; amidst heaps of scrap metals and rubbish. Alone and afraid, with no one to trust, Little is rarely seen in the day. Sometimes missing even for weeks, Little resides in an industrial site where heavy trailers are a common sight, big stray dogs roam and mark their territories and the harsh reality of life is such that in a place like this where there's no love, food is scarce, only the fittest and fiercest survive.

Little is considered small sized for a local breed (hence her name) and her lovely marking of white and brown patches makes her even more adorable. Little has the sweetest gaze and gentle little eyes. Little is often seen alone, scared and ventures out only in the late evenings or when the other big dogs had their fill.

Little is barely a year old and too young a life to be shattered as yet, she used to have that jovial spirit in her but as of this date, 7 October, she came to M looking shrivelled and the saddest in her eyes is just too much to bear. She clung onto M's legs and when M bend down to pat her, she lifted her head and with all her might, she jumped onto M's lap and dived her head into M's arms.

Would you care to give Little a place called home? To shower her with love and to let her live. Life? To show Little that there is a difference between breathing and living?

Saving Lives - Musky and Rusky

These two dogs urgently need foster/adoption. They are just taken away by authorities due to owner's cruelty and neglect. They had been caged with barely food and water...covered with faeces...still so happy when taken away by authority without knowing that they will be put down by tomorrow if no one takes them out..Musky - unsterilised male JRT, 1 year 4 months old. Rusky, Jrt crossed, 9 months old, weigh less than 15kg. They are friendly but still a little wary of strangers...

Sushi is a cream-coloured female Labrador, who has been used for breeding by her owner. We feel she has not been given the right care for the many reasons we found while talking to the ex owner.

Faith has been with us for about 6months now. She's much bolder and sociable now. With further constant encouragement, she should be a confident doggie for rest of her adult life..
