Black and Tan Pups

Recently one afternoon, while a feeder was doing her usual round of feeding the street strays, she noticed in a deserted corner, some puppies roaming along a dangerous road. She immediately went over to take a look and saw a family of four hiding and drinking from the black dirty drain. These is a litter she has never seen before. She went around in the nearby factories asking if they could adopt the family, but the response was disappointing.

A nearby worker told her that they have been sending puppies to construction sites or forested area as they have seen authorities do their misdeed not understanding that things are no better where they are sent. The feeder pleaded with the workers not to touch any of these puppies for she can still keep an eye on them whenever she visits but the workers seemed set in their opinion.

The feeder tried shifting the puppies to a ‘safer place’ where the traffic is less heavy but the mummy is not used to the new environment grabbed the pups one by one back to the deserted corner again.

As the feeder can only do her feeding round twice a week, she visited the place few days later and heard a pup crying very loudly for help. The pup was trapped as it had crawled into a container, the feeder was unable to crawl underneath the huge rusty container to rescue the pup and there was no worker nearby to assist. She left a duck leg for the pup to chew on and to alleviate her fear of being trapped and hoping that the workers can later help to get the pup out. As she continued busy with the feeding, she saw to her horror, a big snake right in front of her watching the pups. She shouted and chased the snake away with a stick but she is unable to be at the deserted area 24/7 to protect the family.

This is a case of 'we have no one and no where to turn to and appealing for adoption on-site". Out of desperation, we are helping the feeder plead with any kind soul, who has the space to adopt the puppies and mummy.  Sweet Mia Cara (mia Cara means my dearest) is like a dog you have never met before. We first came to know of her and her pups from a call from one of our feeder friends. She told us of a mother dog with five pups and they were all alone in a desolate area. This was not in the location are feeding so we decided to check it out the next day. When we found the black mother dog there were only 3 pups left. Later we were told by those in the area that two had earlier ran across the road and crushed by trucks.

Cara stayed with her pups when many stray mothers would have abandoned their young when faced with danger themselves or short of food but not Cara. And when in the Shelter and she could no longer nurse her pups with her milk, she regurgitated her food for them. Even the kennel operators marvel at Cara’s devotion as they see with their own eyes that she does not eat but keeps them for her pups. They have urged us to try help find Cara a family as she is so deserving, in reward for her love and her devotion.

Cara always stayed true, stood by them, defending them despite the dangers from men who beat her with sticks to rid her of their premises. Till this day, whenever Cara sees broomsticks, she still avoids them.

Cara’s pups’ adoption were miraculous intervention. They were adopted onsite, something that does not happen often. All her pups, Zen, Silver and Raven are now grown up and living happily with their new homes. Now is her turn, now it is Cara’s turn for a chance at a family as she so deserves, having given up everything for her precious pups, she would have sacrificed her life for them too. Yes, Cara’s story is one that could touch you.

If given a chance, Cara will be as devoted to you as she was to her pups and as she is to us now. When we visit her, she is full of enthusiasm and greets us with her yelps and whines. She jumps on us in anticipation that we will take her out. She is gentle with children and loves the pats and touches. Most times she doesn’t eat the treats we offer as she just thrives on our love, our words and our cuddles. Cara deserves a home full of love and she will stand guard over your household and your family as just as she stood over her pups. And the faithful dog that she is, she will never abandon you even in the face of danger. That is Cara.

Cara is small for a cross breed. She would fit very well into an apartment but she does love going out for her walks being the free spirit that she is. Cara's whole outlook in life is Joy, Joy and more Joy. She has forgotten all her unhappy past and puts her energies and exuberance into a new day. Will you be able to give Cara that new beginning, to see her light up in happiness is a sight to behold, indeed.

Kitten seeking a forever home

Age : 4.2 months( looks bigger coz of fat tummy)

Other qualities : Friendly, curious and playful. Gets along with other cats and not afraid of dogs.  A fun and confident kitten, intelligent and even tempered kitty. Learns very quickly.

Loves being carried around and is a lap cat. Pepper is loving and very affectionate, he 'speaks'when in a happy mood. Will grow to be a wonderful companion.

History

Pepper was rescued from Selarang military camp as he kept straying into the dog training unit. He is friendly and curious to a fault and that sealed his fate. The camp decided that he had to be removed as the dog unit is a restricted area. A national serviceman took him home only to be told by his parents that pets are not welcome in their home. Pepper got passed to a second army boy whose parents also objected to a cat. We agreed to help find a home for him. On the day he arrived, we noticed he had a slight limp. When Pepper went for his first vaccination, an X-ray was done and it was found that he had dislocated his hip and the bone showed signs of trauma. So surgery was arranged and castration was carried out as well. Pepper is now as good as new, and he is back to using his bad leg to hop, jump. He is pure entertainment he's never still unless asleep.

Dog for Adoption - Mini Schnauzer

Posting on behalf of a very distressed owner who needs help to rehome his dog as he had to sell his assets due to a financial crunch. He has one week left before he moves into the rented room. Dog is unsterilised mini schnauzer, nearly 7 years and very affectionate.

Currently, I am moving to a rented house and unfortunately, the owner does not allow me to bring my dog over. Hence, I have no choice but to look for a pet lover who is able to show him love and care. His breed is of miniature schnauzer, named Boy-boy. He is friendly and love to play. I sincerely hope that you can adopt my dog because I afraid that if I am to send him to SPCA, he will be put to sleep, which I really cannot bear to do so to my beloved Boy-boy. Workshop Puppies

Recently a lonely, sad, tired and hungry pregnant mummy gave birth to a litter of 5 pups outside a car workshop under the hot, merciless sun. We do not know if she collapsed from exhaustion or heat but she went into labour with no shade to hide under. She was suffering from malnutrition and was unable to give her litter the needed milk and proper shelter.

As they were in direct path of moving traffic, a kind staff from a nearby workshop took pity and shifted her and the litter to a safer place but she is unable to keep the family for long for their safety, as the area is dangerous with big fast moving vehicles.

We are looking for committed good homes for the 2-week old 4 male and 1 female puppies before they grow bigger and start roaming the street. The workshop staff have informed us that the Authority has been pounding the area for strays and worry that the family will be culled in one of the raids, and they have no place to hide them.
